We want this website — and a stay with us — to work for as many people as possible. Here's what we've built in, where we know we fall short, and how to reach us if you have access needs.
Built to be used with a keyboard, a screen reader, or no animation at all.
We aim to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard. We test as we build, and we keep improving — accessibility is never "finished".
Keyboard & focus
A skip-to-content link, visible focus outlines, logical tab order, and focus that's trapped (and returned) inside the menu and image lightbox.
Reduced motion
If your device asks for reduced motion, we honour it — animations, parallax and auto-advancing carousels are switched off.
Contrast & text
Body text meets AA contrast, type scales fluidly without breaking, and the layout reflows cleanly down to small screens and on zoom.
Screen readers
Semantic headings and landmarks, descriptive alt text on real photos, labelled form fields, and live messages for form success and errors.
Clear contact
Phone numbers are click-to-call, the address is marked up for assistive tech, and directions open in your map app of choice.
No dead ends
Every booking button goes to our real, secure booking engine — no broken links, no fake forms.
An honest picture of physical access.
- Ground-floor accessible studiosWe have ground-floor studios — tell us in your booking or call ahead and we'll put you on the ground floor.
- Accessible parkingFree secure undercover parking on-site, including accessible bays, right by the entrances.
- Step-free self check-inYou let yourself in with a personal key code — no reception queue, no counter to reach. We'll walk you through it by phone if you'd like.
There is no lift
Upper-floor studios are reached by stairs only. If stairs are difficult, please request a ground-floor studio when you book — we'll do our best to confirm one for you.
Known limitations
- The booking engineAvailability and payment happen on our third-party booking provider, whose accessibility we don't fully control. If you hit a barrier there, call us and we'll take the booking by phone.
- Embedded mapsThe map on our Contact and Attractions pages is a Google Maps embed; a text address and directions link are always provided alongside it.
- Some photographyWhere we don't yet have a real photo of a space, we show a labelled placeholder rather than a misleading stock image.
